Heal. Empower. Transform.

Compassionate counselling in Putney and online, specialising in recovery from narcissistic abuse, anxiety and life’s challenges.

As a BACP Accredited Counsellor based in Putney, I provide a safe, confidential space for one-to-one sessions, offering both short and long-term counselling for individual adults and teenagers.

Life can present us with challenges that feel overwhelming, leading to confusion and anxiety. My role as a counsellor is to guide you through these difficult times, supporting your journey of self-discovery. In a calm and empathetic environment, I offer a space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings, gain clarity, and make empowering decisions for your life.

About me

Before becoming a counsellor, I had a background in competitive swimming, which naturally led me to a career as a swimming teacher. I specialized in working with children with physical disabilities and autism, as well as adults who had a swimming phobia. This experience required a great deal of empathy and understanding, much like counselling.

Through this work, I realised that I was doing more than just teaching people to swim — I was helping them transform their lives. This realisation inspired me to pursue first-rate counselling training so that I could fully support others in overcoming their challenges and achieving personal growth.

I understand that when you come to counselling, you want to feel confident that you're seeing someone with a strong foundation.

My qualifications include:

  • BSc (First) in Humanistic Counselling – Metanoia Institute, London

  • ASA Level 2 Swimming Coach

  • MA (First) in History and English – University of Pécs, Hungary

I am also an Accredited Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and a member of the Metanoia Institute, London, adhering strictly to the BACP Ethical Code and the Metanoia Code of Ethics.

Since 2016, I have counselled clients from around the world, including England, Scotland, Ireland, Wales, Portugal, Saudi Arabia, Switzerland, Hungary, France, or the USA. This global experience has given me valuable insights into various cultural perspectives and challenges.

Fluent in English and Hungarian, I offer culturally sensitive therapy tailored to your unique background. My work spans issues such as narcissistic abuse, anxiety, and relationship problems, ensuring a personalized approach that respects your individual experiences.

My approach to counselling

As a Humanistic Counsellor, I believe in the innate goodness of every person and their potential to live fulfilling lives. My approach integrates Person-Centred, Transactional Analysis, and Gestalt therapies. This means I bring empathy, honesty, and unconditional acceptance to every session, fostering a relationship based on respect and trust.

I am committed to being fully present with you during our sessions, helping you navigate your emotions and experiences. As a relational therapist, I believe that the therapeutic relationship we build together is crucial for meaningful change and personal growth.

For those interested, I also incorporate mindfulness and meditation techniques, which can be powerful tools for enhancing well-being.

  • How do you work as a counsellor?
Entering therapy for the first time can feel daunting, so I prioritize creating a safe, empathetic environment built on mutual trust and confidentiality. As a Humanistic Counsellor, I believe in the inherent potential of every individual to grow and change, regardless of their circumstances. My approach incorporates Gestalt, Person-Centred, and Transactional Analysis (TA) therapies, focusing on empathy, honesty, and unconditional acceptance. I value the therapeutic relationship we build together, viewing it as the foundation for your healing and personal growth. My commitment is to remain fully present during our sessions, providing you with respect and support as you explore your thoughts and emotions.
  • What is the counselling process?
Our counselling journey begins with a brief telephone conversation, where we discuss your reasons for seeking therapy. During this call, we can schedule your first session at my Putney practice. In our initial sessions, I will conduct an assessment to understand your needs and collaboratively establish goals and a potential timeline for our work together. However, these plans are flexible; as you progress, your goals may evolve, and we can adjust the timeline accordingly.
  • How often will we meet for counselling?
We will meet weekly at my Putney practice (or online), ideally at the same time each week. For long-term counselling, I typically see clients for at least 40 weeks per year. I do not charge for holidays, and I will inform you well in advance of any breaks. If you need to cancel a session, please provide 48 hours' notice to avoid being charged.
  • Where is your counselling practice located?
My practice is located in a welcoming home office at Upper Richmond Road, London SW15 2SW, just a two-minute walk from East Putney tube station. It’s also easily accessible from Fulham, Chelsea, Barnes, and Kensington, and is well-served by several bus routes.
  • How can I contact you?
